With the spring rains, the desert is beginning to bloom! Look for sand verbena, lupines, dune primroses, desert dandelions and more.
Take a trail that isn’t highly trafficked and enjoy being safe outside.
Enjoy the Beach
Go for a swim in the Colorado River, dip your toes in the water or lay out on the beach!
Remember, keep a distance of 6 feet between you and any other guests.
Look for Wildlife
Head just 35 minutes down the road to Cibola Wildlife refuge and spot desert animals and birds.
Take Canada Goose Drive, the one mile Nature Trail, or visit Cibola Lake to watch for birds. Many of the trails remain open, but check before you go. Get more details here.
