Rachelle here from Arizona Oasis. Dave and Laura took me to a unique spot off the Power Line Road on our way to Quartzsite — A human footprint embedded in rock!
No one knows for sure where it came from, how old it is or who it belongs to, but Dave and Laura say it’s a real human footprint!
Dave pulled his side by side over when we came over the crest of the hill and were on our way down to the valley floor.
Dave’s first marker to find the right spot were two saguaro cactuses — one on the side of the road and one further off the road by the footprint.
There is a small gully on the north side of the road with a quartz vein running through it. The footprint is just above the vein.

The footprint itself looks like it was imprinted into soft clay or dirt before it hardened. As Laura points out in the video, there could be some animal tracks embedded in the rock right next to the human print, which would indicate that the owner of the footprint might have been chasing an animal.
The footprint is getting fainter by the year due to water erosion. If you want to see this one, put it on your list to do sooner rather than later!
